PERMANENT RESIDENCY AND CITIZENSHIP

Applications for permanent residency and citizenship (after years) are possible without having to live in the country through the Portuguese Golden Visa (PGV) program, which could be renewed every 2 years, with only requirement of staying in the country for 2 weeks every 2 years. Investors need to demonstrate ties to the country if residency was acquired via PGV and pass a basic language test.

Onwards, the second passport allows for to work, study anywhere in the EU as well as to pass thought the Schengen zone.
